What is Green Coast in Albania?

A master-planned resort of about 200 hectares at Palasë beach, built by the Albanian group BALFIN, with a hotel, villas, apartments and a beachfront promenade.

It is a brand and a development, not a town or region. 'Green Coast' covers several products: the hotel (with a spa, pool and restaurants) and residences that individual owners rent out, so quality varies between units.

Where is Green Coast?

At Palasë, on the Albanian Riviera between the Llogara Pass and Dhërmi, in Vlorë County.

Is the beach public?

The resort is gated, so access is easiest as a guest. Beach clubs on the promenade also serve outside visitors, who pay for sunbeds; check on arrival, as access arrangements can change.

For a wilder alternative nearby, try Dhërmi, Jale or the coves reached by boat (Kroreza, Kakome).

How much does it cost?

It's one of the most expensive places to stay in Albania. The hotel doesn't publish fixed rates; villas and apartments vary widely by size and month.

Prices peak in July and August. June and September give warm sea and open beach clubs at lower prices.

How do you get there without a car?

Buses between Vlorë and Sarandë run along the coast road and can drop you at the Palasë turn-off, but it's a long walk down. A taxi from Dhërmi or Himarë is easier.

Vlorë's new airport was not open to passenger flights in October 2026, so the nearest working airports are Tirana and Corfu.

When is the best time to go?

June and September: warm sea, open restaurants and fewer people than July and August.

May and October are quieter and cheaper, but some places run reduced hours. Most of the Riviera closes from November to April.
