What is a good 7-day Albania itinerary?

Tirana (1 night), Berat (1), Gjirokastër (1), Sarandë or Ksamil (2), Himarë (2).

This loop mixes UNESCO towns and beaches with mostly short drives.

DayBaseHighlights
1TiranaSkanderbeg Square, Bunk'Art, Blloku
2BeratCastle, Mangalem quarter
3GjirokastërStone old town, castle
4–5Sarandë / KsamilBlue Eye, Butrint, Ksamil beaches
6–7HimarëGjipe, Livadhi, Llogara Pass

What should I add with 10 days?

Add 3 days in the north: Shkodër, then Theth, then the Koman Lake ferry or the Theth–Valbona hike.

The north is best mid-June to September, when the pass is usually snow-free.

Can I do this without a car?

Yes. Buses and furgons link every stop, but leave mostly in the morning and need cash.

A car saves time for the Blue Eye, Butrint and remote Riviera beaches.

When is the best time for this route?

Late May to June and September are the best balance of weather, sea temperature and crowds.
