Open the travel toolkit →Which plug do I need for Albania?
Type C or Type F — the standard European two round pins.
| Coming from | Adapter needed? | Converter needed? |
|---|---|---|
| EU (most countries) | No | No |
| UK / Ireland | Yes (Type G → C/F) | No |
| USA / Canada | Yes (Type A/B → C/F) | Only for 110V-only devices |
| Australia / NZ | Yes (Type I → C/F) | No |
| Switzerland | Usually fits Type C; adapter for 3-pin | No |
What is the voltage in Albania?
230 volts at 50 Hz, the same as most of Europe.
Look for '100–240V' on your charger; if it says that, it works with just an adapter.
Where can I buy an adapter in Albania?
Electronics shops, supermarkets and some kiosks in towns sell them cheaply; airport shops have them at higher prices.
Bringing one from home is easiest. A multi-USB charger with a European plug saves space.
Are power cuts common?
Short cuts can happen, especially in villages and during storms. Carry a power bank on mountain trips.
