Parking rules in Albania
- White lines or a plain "P" sign: free parking. Blue lines, or a "P" sign with paid hours: paid parking. Yellow lines: no parking.
- In smaller towns parking is usually free. In big cities and resorts you pay in the centre and near the main sights.
- Fines run from 1,000 to 20,000 lek. Cars can also be clamped or towed, and towing is charged on top. Paying within 15 days usually halves the fine.
- With a rental car, you pay the fines. Banks and post offices take payment, or ask the rental company.
Checked November 2026. Rules and prices change: the sign at the spot always wins.
