Tiranë
Central Tirana has three paid street zones. Evenings and weekends are free. Underground car parks are easiest for longer stays.
How street parking works
- Zone A 100 lek per hour, Zone B 40 lek per hour, Zone C 20 lek per hour. The zone can change from one block to the next, so read the sign.
- Paid Monday–Friday 07:30–20:00. Free in the evening and at weekends.
- Pay by SMS to 50500: your plate with no spaces, a space, then the zone letter (for example AA123BB A). It needs an Albanian SIM. Or use the Tirana Parking app.
- Inspectors check parking, and the municipal police give the fines.
Where to park
- Skanderbeg Square underground car parkOpen 24 hours, right in the centre. Sources give different tariffs, so check the board at the entrance.
- Sheshi Italia underground car parkOpen 24 hours, near the Air Albania Stadium.
Good to know
- Blloku is the hardest area to park. In the evening a taxi or Bolt is easier.
