How much does a sunbed cost on the Albanian Riviera?

Expect roughly 1,000–2,500 lek for two beds and an umbrella on most beaches, and more in Ksamil and Dhërmi in peak season.

Prices are per set (two beds + umbrella) for the whole day, not per hour. Front rows cost the most. Prices are set by each beach bar, so always ask before you sit down.

Are beaches in Albania free?

Yes, beaches are public. Rules require part of each beach to stay free for towels, though in crowded spots the free strip can be small.

If a beach bar insists you must rent, you can walk to the free area. On long beaches like Borsh, Himarë and Livadhi it is easy to find space.

Which Riviera beaches are good without renting a sunbed?

Borsh, Gjipe, Livadhi, Porto Palermo and parts of Himarë are the easiest places to use your own towel and umbrella.

Gjipe needs a walk of about 20–30 minutes down from the car park, or a boat. Bring water and shade — there are few services.

How do I pay less for a sunbed?

Come in June or September, arrive before 9:30 in July–August, sit behind the front row, and ask for an afternoon price.

Carry cash in lek: some small beach bars don't take cards, and paying in euro often means a worse rate.
