Expect about 2,000–2,500 ALL to central Tirana. The centre-to-airport trip is usually 1,800–2,500 ALL.
Agree the price before the ride. Prices quoted in euros are often rounded up — paying in lek is usually cheaper.
Is there a bus from Tirana airport?
Yes. Luna Travel runs the only public airport bus: to Tirana centre every full hour, 24 hours a day, for 400 ALL (€4.50); and to the North & South intercity terminal every hour 08:00–18:00 for 300 ALL (€3.50).
Buses leave from parking bays 9 and 10. Pay cash or card on board, or online at luna.al; no booking needed. Sources: Tirana International Airport and Luna Travel, checked October 2026.
How long does it take?
About 30–40 minutes to the centre and 20–30 minutes to the intercity terminal.
| Option | Cost (ALL) | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Airport bus to centre (24/7) | 400 | 30–40 min |
| Airport bus to North & South terminal | 300 | 20–30 min |
| Taxi | 2,000–2,500 | 25–40 min |
What scams should I watch for at the airport?
The main risks are unagreed taxi fares, euro prices rounded up and dynamic currency conversion at ATMs.
Always decline the ATM's conversion and choose lek. Use a marked taxi or a dispatch app.
